Binational Relations Programs

Western Hemisphere

Activities in the Western Hemisphere seek to strengthen partnerships with counterparts by promoting mutually beneficial government-to-government partnerships with the United States. The program supports technology and information exchange activities and facilitating relationships with partners throughout the hemisphere and FHWA program offices, State DOTs, and the academic and private sectors.

The Office of International Programs is also working with FHWA’s Office of Planning, Environment and Realty, border State DOTs and border Division Offices to improve mobility and security at overland border crossings with Canada and Mexico.
