The Ministry of Transportation of Brazil and FHWA entered into an Implementation Arrangement in 2010 under the Agreement between the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Government of the Unites States of America relating to Cooperation in Science and Technology signed in Brasilia, Brazil, February 6, 1984, as amended and extended (the Agreement) on March 21, 1994. This collaboration focuses on road safety, planning, operation and management, asset management and highway logistics in the Brazilian and U.S. highway transportation networks.
