1. CDV T2

1998

  • U.S. - Czech governmental agreement for Scientific and Technological Cooperation
  • first contacts between CDV and U.S. partners
  • representatives of FHWA in the Czech Republic
  • CDV Director participated in LTAP National Conference

1999

  • establishment of CDV T2 Center
  • agreement between CDV and Virginia Transportation Research Council

Goals:

  • cost - effective management and development of sustainable transport and transport infrastructure of the Czech Republic,
  • mutually beneficial links and cooperation among all stakeholders within transport sector in the Czech Republic.

  • looks for better dissemination and practical implementation of research results,
  • creates joint interest in technology transfer,
  • has close links with relevant Ministries.

Conditions to be filled:

  • identification of customer's needs
  • integration of T2 into all institute activities
  • involvement of knowledgeable and engaged staff
  • secured financing

  • identification of areas with high potential gained by technology transfer,
  • improvement of T2 Centers interoperability,
  • development of target oriented workshops,
  • development of joint projects,
  • investigation of implementation possibilities of career and public awareness programs.

  • extension of partnerships behind the existing twining links,
  • finding U.S. partners interested in joint activities,
  • update US - CE T2 agreement,
  • participation of CE T2 representatives in the National LTAP Conference,
  • study tour to Slovakia (Kosice, October 10-15, 2008),
  • share best practices by considering Webinar Technologies,
  • share T2 materials and link websites,
  • cooperation in development of :
    • Summer Transport Institutes,
    • Construction Career Days,
    • Snow Plows Rodeos,
  • implementation of joint projects:
    • SNOWFLAKE,
    • Tailgate warning system
