Tanzania Video Conference

Hi Al,

First of all, we would like to thank George Bouza, who gave us several telephone numbers and people to work on the connection and make sure that the session is on. We would like also to thank the Instructor, John McFadden for all he did to make sure that the session went as planned. Also, we are extending our thanks to an IT person whom we saw entering the room, and connecting the Washington site. Of course, last but not least we are appreciating efforts of all people who helped at the Washington D.C. site to make sure that the connection was on.

Of course Sylivia, the IT person at the Tanzania Global Development Learning Centre did an excellent work as she assured us all at the Tanzania site that it would work out. At the Tanzania site, after a delay of one hour we were able to start and enjoy the session for 3 hours. We were more than 30 participants and the session went well.

Dr. McFadden did an excellent job, participants learnt a lot on Road Safety Engineering Countermeasures as well as GPS and GIS applications. However, as usual, three hours went so fast and suddenly we were disconnected - the session was over. We would like to thank everybody on that side who worked tirelessly to make sure that the Washington D.C. site was connected.

Thanks and best regards,

Light Chobya
