India

India is an important strategic, economic and political partner for the United States. As such, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) is undertaking a variety of initiatives that involve collaboration in the maritime, road traffic safety and highway areas. Both countries share an interest in the establishment of a safe and effective transportation infrastructure in India to accommodate the new demand for transportation of people.
